Electrotherapy is the use of electrical waves as a medical treatment. ‘Electrically induced heat,’ also known as diathermy, is commonly used for muscle relaxation. It is a method of heating deep tissue electromagnetically or ultrasonically for therapeutic purposes in medicine.
